This lineage had its solar house in the town of Beteta (whose name it took), in the judicial district of Priego and province of Cuenca. He also had solar houses in Aragón, Guipúzcoa, Navarra and Castilla. They went to Mexico.


In Aragon, its owner Mossén Joan de Beteta had solar houses in Monterde, and in Jaraba (both from Zaragoza), its owner Anthón Beteta, documented in the Aragonese Fogueración of 1495.


Elvira de Beteta, a neighbor of Soria, proved her nobility before the Royal Chancery of Valladolid in 1536.

Antonio de Beteta, a resident of Carrión, disputed his nobility before the Royal Chancery of Granada in 1551.

In Navarra he had a solar house in the town of Los Arcos, in Merindad de Estella, documented in 1558, and in Castilla in the city of Valladolid in 1556.

A branch passed to the city of Soria from the castle of Bethot, in France, where he founded a new house. Of this was Gonzalo de Beteta, Knight of the Order of Santiago, Castilian of the castle of Soria and Ambassador of the Catholic Monarchs in Rome. His son, Jorge de Beteta, was Alcaide de Soria and took part in the reconquest of Granada. He married Doña Mayor de Guzmán, a native of Soria, giving birth to another Jorge Beteta, Knight of Santiago in 1523.

Alonso de Beteta, a native of Ateca (Zaragoza), was a Knight of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, which he entered in 1622.

Diego Alfonso de Beteta Contreras y Forminaya Monterroso, a native of Santa Cruz de la Zarza (Toledo), tested his purity of blood to enter the Order of Calatrava as a religious in 1690.
