Origin of Granullés

The progenitor of this surname, according to Mosén Jaime Febrer and Gaspar de Escolano, was a Catalan soldier from the town of Granullés (today Granollers), in the province of Barcelona, ​​who was at the service of King Jaime I of Aragon , and whom this Monarch commissioned to delineate the layout of the Puig force and to build the causeway that led to the sea.
